Learning outcomes
- Apply an understanding of how donkey behaviour, welfare, and human actions are interconnected to ensure safe and respectful interactions with donkeys.
- Understand and describe natural donkey behaviours and the factors that influence them.
- Use an understanding of donkey body language to choose and apply appropriate, safe, and
- compassionate responses that reduce stress and prevent injury.
- Recognise compassionate handling and restraint techniques that build trust, reduce fear, and ensure the safety and welfare of both donkeys and handlers.
- Promote safe and compassionate donkey handling by addressing common myths and using culturally relevant approaches to encourage positive behaviour change in the community.
